Dr. Austin Floyd - Veterinarian

Dr. Floyd was born in Lake Jackson, Texas, and has been around animals his entire life.

Growing up on a ranch in Texas, he raised all manner of farm animals and has always loved cats and dogs too. Dr. Floyd decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after realizing that he could not imagine a life without caring for animals. Dr. Floyd attended Texas A&M University for his bachelor's and doctorate degrees and worked as a surgery technician at the vet school in between semesters.

Following graduation, Dr. Floyd practiced in Texas for two years and later moved to southeast Louisiana with his wife, Jennifer. He has two beautiful daughters and a cat named Beau. Dr. Floyd loves spending time with his family, is an avid Saints fan, and is a carpenter outside of work. His veterinary interests include urgent care, dermatology, and surgery.
