Dr. Jessica Vinterella - Veterinarian

Jessica D. Vinterella, DVM, CVA, is a 2017 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Vinterella earned her Bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. Vinterella is a Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association's Power of 10 Leadership Program graduate. She has completed Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine training at Chi University and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She is currently working towards becoming Louisiana's first Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner.

As a Mandeville native, Dr. Vinterella vowed to return home after graduation to provide quality veterinary care for the pets in her local community. She has a special interest in integrative medicine, nutrition, and pain management. Though many of her experiences have shaped her love of veterinary medicine, caring for her aging and terminally ill patients has made the biggest impact on her career. Dr. Vinterella has made it her life's mission to compassionately care for these patients and pet parents from the time of diagnosis until saying goodbye. Her passion is fueled by her strong interest in pain management, senior pet care, palliative and hospice care, and in-home humane euthanasia. She even provides these services from the comfort of patients' homes.

Dr. Vinterella currently resides in Covington with her husband and daughter. Together they care for Amos (English Springer Spaniel), Sarge (Golden Retriever), and Caroline (Munchkin kitty).
